MARCH 7 @ 6pm CST - Webinar about Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering with Jackson Brown - Are you interested in engineering boats, ships, submarines, and handling the nuances of systems and logistics revolving around these vessels in the future? Join us as Jackson Brown, a fourth year student at the University of Michigan, talks about his studies in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and the various projects he is involved in!
Jackson Brown is a fourth year Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering student at the University of Michigan and will graduate in May 2023. He will be pursuing his master's degree in the same program starting in the fall. He has experience working with concept design, functional design, and waterfront engineering for multiple naval warship projects, including the U.S. Navy's Next-Generation Attack Submarine and Guided-Missile Frigate. Other marine industry experience includes preliminary design for cargo ships and zero-emission fuel cell propulsion. Jackson is also a research assistant at our university's Marine Hydrodynamics Laboratory and an engineer on our autonomous boat project team.
